if i was the train driver I wouldn’t of stop. maybe thatll get people off the tracks, dont obligate train drivers to stop anymore unless it involeves a passenger vehicle, oh wait youall said it was full of 600 mexicans.

joecommon, trains aren’t obligated to stop. they can’t. a train traveling at 40mph takes about 1 mile to come to a stop.

duuuuh, i meant like keep going and going without trying to stop as in still going to the next destination, as in plowing through the trailer without applying the breaks maybe to keep from derailing but still moving on and leaving the debree behind. Did you know that trains don’t use the diesel engine’s raw power either? Its converted to electricity by generator and the electricity turns the traction motors that turns the wheels, thats why you don’t feel or hear diesel engines shift gears as they gain speed, they dont need to its electrical. And the Diesel engine maintains the same RPM no matter what the speed of the traction motors to the wheels. Sorry to break it down that I know about the stopping distance of a train.
