That's fucked up, looks like there's a chance that they survived.
@luvthick The odds are stacked against him ...
@james511969 +1 LOL
Odds were clearly stacked against them they should have folded but did they died???
@luvthick . .. If this is cardboard . . yes.
Slated for death
They had a crush on each other.
This is the horrific moment two factory workers were crushed to death when they got trapped between huge blocks of marble.
The tragic incident was captured in graphic detail by CCTV cameras at a factory in central Turkey's Sivas Province.
It shows Sinan Elmaci, 25, and Fatih Demir, 34, using an overhead winch to move heavy slabs of marble around within the factory.
But as one slab of marble is lifted from the ground, the one behind it tumbles forward trapping one of the men between it and more marble slabs behind him.
His workmate bravely squeezes his own body between the slabs to help his pal try to push the heavy block away from him.
But then two more slabs of marble overbalance and fall onto the one that was already leaning on the pair.
The men can be seen still talking to each other and trying to wriggle free of the enormous weight on their bodies.
Colleagues finally pulled them free and called an ambulance to take them to local hospitals.
But doctors were unable to save them and Demir died in the Republic University Medicine Faculty Hospital while Elmaci lost his life in the Numune Hospital.
Their bodies were later taken to a local morgue for autopsies.
Police have launched an investigation in the incident which happened at a factory on an industrial estate off the Sivas-Erzincan motorway.
@freddykrueger thanks for the story behind the video . Didn't CS used to do this on their own?
@freddykrueger . . they are just stupid . .
As a german in overprotected germany they would have violated at least 15 regulations by the start of their pain. A simple metall stopper on top could prevent this sooooo easy. . . SO EASY. But you need at least an IQ of 50 to solve this riddle.
@noihavetosaythis, yea we have OSHA here as well and stupid people still get killed for doing very stupid things. Every country has it's own regulations or not.
@freddykrueger very informative. Thank you
@freddykrueger someone seriously negged you for giving us the backstory.
@breakfastblunt some people come to this site to relax from a day of ignorance by being even more ignorant. They don't come here for no learnin'
@happyjack destroy someone's credit because they have nothing better to do? How about be the next fbl suicide?
@freddykrueger .......what's to investigate? foot drop bug squish.,.,
@freddykrueger Thanks. Heaven forbid they make a couple of simple safety devices (even out of lumber) that can be inserted from the outside of the stack of slabs, allowing an individual slab to lean a few inches over to insert the clamp, without allowing it to fall all of the way over. (Anyone want to patent this device you have my blessings, just kick me back maybe a million bucks after you make your first 5 million)
But this biggest problem was there was no reason for the first worker to follow the lifted slab through the stack. Walk around and meet it on the other side.
@happyjack Thanks for testifying. Now, let's pray.
Is this what is meant by the Domino Effect?
Damn that's a good friend!
Who said they are dead?
Something very similar happened to a guy where i work. Im a welder at a metal fab shop and we have a cnc plasma cutting machine. That will cut sheets of steel 10ftx20ft up to 2 inch thick. The guy was working night shift and while loading a sheet of steel onto the plasma cutting table. The chain we use the lift the steel with broke and landed on the botton half of his body. He was trapped like that for hours until ge finally died. That shit sucks
@strokerace that sucks! The day I started at one job, they were moving a 10,000 press. The guy guiding the forklift was standing on the blades of the lift. The operator tilted the blades back instead of forward. Crushed in a nano second. Wife asked how my day went. To where I replied, it could've been worse.
Sammich special 2 for a buck
That's the way Batman TV show always ended when I was a kid. At the start of the next episode they escaped every time.
Wow, that just looks tragic.
"Oh shit, I'm stuck."
"Yup, me too, damn."
"So have any plans tonigh?"
Well I was gonna go to a soccer match with the misses but I don't know now."
"Yeah, me too man. Planned on a few cervezas with the boys but it's lookin' like I ain't gonna make it."
"Yeah, I think we're dealing with more 'pressing' things at the moment huh?"
No one else works there???
