That was sumpin else - Will need new shocks for sure!
Somebody's shop bill went up 3 grand. This isn't an accident, this is a scam.
The van was crooked on the hoist to begin with, then one of the lift arms broke right off.
the lift arm rubber wasnt set properly so it slid out backwards slowly under pressure , that started the car tilting forward and it slid off, the lock out wasnt set on the arm and it almost appears it didnt have a drop lock on the lift either !!!!!
@me68 I worked at a dealership, and it was common practice to rig that lock with bungie cords. No surprise they got fined when OSHA showed up
He fucked up his lift points. Even looks like the cross member was in contact with the car.
What would the owner says about this??
@toy-boat "Do I have a bad transmission leak, or that a couple quarts of blood covering the bottom of my engine?"

Or not maintained correctly. Or installed correctly.
Well, you know for sure it's not a Bendpak.
It will buff right out.
Should have used a german car lifter!!!
"I just wanted a tire change"
Welp, I guess my 30 minute oil change is going to take a little longer.
You bring it in for an oil change and end up needing a whole new fuckin car. Crooks
That vid was uplifting
Here's your problem ... you have a man stuck in your engine
Mechanics are trained to center a vehicles' center of mass over the lift arms before they lift up the vehicles?
Maybe there was a fat guy in the van?
Yea but one guy got a new car. So it was a Win
I know those shitty lifts. There is a 2 inch diameter pin that holds the swinging arm to the lift. It goes down through the upper section of the swinging arm then through the arm of the hoist then through the bottom section of the swinging arm. Over time the large pin can work its way up and before you know it there isn't shit holding the arm to the hoist. The top of the pins should be tack welded to the arm so it cant work its way up. The pins have a lip on top to keep then from falling through the hole and it would be easy to weld to the arm.
@whobe that being said those pins have holes drilled through at the bottom for a heavy cotter pin to be inserted to prevent it from coming up. Not to mention the pin should be lubricated/protected with never seize. But most importantly a routine inspection by the mechanic would have seen the issue long before the pin came up high enough to cause failure.
@happyjack The lifts I used 18 years ago didn't have a hole for a cotter pin and its the exact same lift in the video.
Still saved money after this by outsourcing the parts from china
Good mechanics always are "one with the car"!
I'm glad that wasn't my car.
car needs more bumper stickers
Kind of looks like they lifted it by the body instead of the frame.
Oh my Gawd! The anticipation was crazy. Did they died?
