Flying Dog

I had read an article in last month's playboy (wink wink) that a lot of Iraq insurgents build home made bombs under the carcasses of dogs along the road side. And sometimes the bomb techs have to diffuse them from there, and other times, the soldiers get to diffuse them from a safe distance. This is from a safe distance.

Damn, good air on that one. BTW, why hasn't Bush brought your boys home yet? Is he trying to prove something? Or is his daddy pulling the strings. Saddam is gone, they have their democracy.... So why are American troops still sacrificed day after day? Get that asshole Bush out of office and bring those boys home damnit! This is turning into another Vietnam!

Mind your own business. Bush said at the beginning that this would take time. A lot of time. The soldiers have to take care of the insurgents, train the army, police, etc. Then they will come home. Vietnam, no way. This war has the least casualties of any war the USA has ever had. Look it up. The war is over, been over, just mopping up. How long did it take to get Germany safe? How long did the Japs fight after WWII? Things have to be taken care of correctly or you are right back at the point of the beginning.

There is a vast difference between training and dictating. "Things have to be taken care of correctly or you are right back at the point of the beginning." Who's to say what is correct for these people? Their society is is thousands of years older than ours! They can dictate for themselves. What if they don't want to be a carbon copy of of the U.S.? Because that's what Bush is trying to make. He is so self righteous. "The war is over, been over" Words used to sooth the American public. There have been more soldiers killed since Bush declared the war 'over' than before! How long did it take to get germany safe? I don't know, the Russians and Brits did it (God bless 'em). You say that I should "mind my own business"????? It is my business! The U.S.A. has gone around stepping on other people's toes with no regard for who they are dragging in with them. If some jackass decides to nuke one of your cities, we in Canada will suffer the fallout also. America thinks that they are the world police, 'the last super power'. A delusion. Many other countries have nuclear capabilities but they don't go around flexing their muscles whenever they get the chance! The only reason we followed Bush into this damned war was because we afraid that he was Psycho enough to start using Nuclear weapons. I am not anti-U.S.A. but I am not pro either. I just think that your government has become so proud and so parranoid that it refuses to aknowledge it's own ignorance and deccadence.

I am not going to argue your points tonight because I have had a couple of drinks and may not be able to think straight. But, you are wrong about Bush. He did not start this thing alone. He had the permission of Congress, so spread the blame around. Later

Hey, canukcop, remember that most of us Yankees hate our government. "Change it!' you might say. They have all the guns! Sure, we're allowed to buy guns, but not the good ones! You have to be a member of the govt. military before you can hold a fully automatic weapon! As far as personal freedom goes, we're fucked!

May God bless you Canuk Cop, Archemedes & Lug Nutz. Bush's views appears pig headed, arrogant & ignorant & his decisions reflect that. Rove did a good job of organizing the religous right in the last election & Bush actually did win but the last election but not by a landslide by any means- in short it is hard to say that he represents a majority of American's views. (In fact if you look at voting maps you can see that most of the major cities- where the universitys and many inteligensia are- did not vote for Bush.) When America was attacked on Sept 11 it was not generally Iraqis but 16 or so of the 19 hijackers were Saudis as I recall. (The Bush family has had a long standing business relationship with the Saudi royal family by the way.) In addition they were also Taliban militants supported by Osama Bin Laden- the fellow the American CIA trained to wage war agianst Iran during the Irag / Iran conflict of the 1980's. In response then, Bush went & invaded Afghanistan where the Taliban was ruling, kicked ass accordingly & I doubt most of the world found fault with those actions. When he invaded Iraq however his narrow vision, the self righteousness & the 'us vs. them' mentality he projects has put not just Americans but westerners & 'white' Europeons in general in jeopardy. (Incidently, Paul Wolfowitz had been pushing the idea of invading Iraq since the early 1990's at least.) There is no doubt Saddam was not a nice guy. But the justification for invading was invalid. (If WMD is a concern how come the U.S. didn't invade N. Korea as they not only have nuclear but threatend to use em?) And if Tree88 & others support the war that's not a war because it's 'over' then they should be there dealing with it & so should their daughters & sons. (As the Bush girls should be.)

Hey canuk! Go back to watching the NHL and stay out of our politics. That's the only reason we allow the NHL to continue to exist, is so that you people think you have a purpose.

    And dice-

Everyone makes mistakes. When you make a mistake, you fix it (CIA trained). By the way, I don't remember Chelsea Clinton fighting in Kosovo. We are already in jeopardy because, despite the amount of times we have DEFENDED muslims, they still hate our lifestyle, and they want to kill us. Are you familiar with the idea of a secondary front?
