Well at least he fucked up on the ground and not in the air. I think that would be much worse.
What a jackass. He hit the big rig and the rescue squad both.
Hey guys, I don't think this was all the pilots problem. He is either a skilled or extremely lucky pilot to perform an emergency landing, engine off, on a public road. Think of all the power lines, poles, signs, and cars that he could have it. He didn't, props to him. I am sure that the emergency services would not have let him try to take off if they thought there was any chance that it would be unsafe. The fact is, they did not clear the road properly and I'm sure he tried to fly with their permission. I hope to hell they bought him a new plane.
I read about this elsewhere. The pilot was ORDERED to take off after refueling. The driver of the vehicle that was in the way was in a restaurant eating, and didn't want to be bothered.
saawduust- I considered that when I was thinking about my comment. And you could be right, the pilot may have calculated wrong and caused this problem himself. ON THE OTHER HAND, he may have been put in a landing pattern or had a faulty guage or any number of things. YOU OBVIOUSLY LIVE ON THE STREET HE LANDED ON BECAUSE YOU SEEM TO HAVE ALL THE FACTS!!!. If not, STFU and take my comment with a grain of salt!
Smart enough to fly a plane. Not smart enough to drive in traffic.
I think he should pee in a cup.
WHAT A DICK, RUNS OUT OF FUEL (PLAN YOUR TRIP DICKHEAD), THEN MISJUDGES THE WIDTH OF HIS PLANE, FIRST-CLASS DICK
THE 3RD WORLD COMING TO A STATE NEAR U.
Any landing you walk away from is a good one.
He clipped the side mirror on the truck first , he landed on his on merits but had the help of others on take off so i would blame the dickheads on the ground for this one.
Yeah, why didn't the stupid cops make them people move?
