hell yes them F-16s were bad. they just retired them boys two.weeks ago. it was the largest fly-over in the navy.22 at oceana master jet base in va. beach,va we down here love jet noise

Those were not f-16’s. They have no f-16s. Those were F-18s Hornets. They did not retire the f-16. the Nave retired the f-14 tomcats, the fastest fighter plane in the world.

1)They have no F-16s?,NAVY does not have F-16’s but there are F-16 falcons via airforce,the planes in question are F-14 tomcats,and why the fuck would they retire em? they still have the best fighter capability out of almost all of our planes...kinda retarded if ya ask me but then again thats the NAVY =)

ifearnoone- The retired the F-14 because of maintenance costs. It’s the most bad ass fighter plane to date, but they are 30 year old airframes. They can fly and maintain the f-18 for a third of the cost.
You want a bad ass airplane? The crazy broke russians are selling Mig 29s on the internet. 8-12 million each.

They say if the F-14 is not dripping any fluid it is dry. The F-14 can shoot down 6 aircraft that are 20 miles away, simultaneously. No U.S. aircraft in comission can do that. Cant belive you people had to look at the caption to know they were Tomcats, very distinct shape, ad the only sweept swing aircraft we have in comission.

I can’t beleive how many people on here know so much about jet fighters, it is impressive, but the sad thing about it, is that no one knows why they are being used when they are!!! I love planes, I love those jets I think its awesome, I’ve always wanted to get a ride in one, but those things kill people and they can drop one bomb and level an entire neighberhood, thats where I loose my interest!
