Little Man, Big Gun

Wow, that is a really big gun. It's so big it makes this guy look like a midget. Oh wait a second, never mind. Where's the video of him shooting it?

The recoil is going to send him back farther than the bullet travels forward.

Surprisingly, he could handle the recoil of the Barret. My daughter shot her first barret 50 at age 7. Now if that was a single shot or bolt action, he'd be flying like a football through the goal post.

    Shouldn't he be down range.

The type of action has little to nothing to do with felt recoil. The bullet is out of the barrel before the action unlocks.

The muzzle brake counters the recoil movement. I shot my Barrett 82A1 once without the muzzle brake on it. Never again.

@Honkie365. Muzzle breaks help a lot no doubt but action does play a large role in felt recoil. Sure the bullet is gone before the action unlocks but the action of a semi auto is also unlocked and sent rearward and sometimes forward before you feel the recoil, dampening the felt recoil. I've shot a M82A1 without a muzzle break. Still doesn't compare to a locked breach with a muzzle break weighing twice as much.

I think he's over compensating, No really, look at the muzzle break, it has way to many ports, the projectile will lose too much velocity and fail to reach its target.
