Ride The Bus
This game is played with a pack of cards.
Nine cards are dealt upside down on a central table in a 3x3 formation. The remaining cards are dealt evenly between the players, with any spare cards being put aside.
One at a time, the nine cards on the table are turned over. If any players have a card in their hand matching the card that is turned over then they place those cards on the matching card on the table. They may then each nominate three fingers for other players to drink, and distribute those three fingers as they wish. For example, they could pick one player to drink all three fingers, or one to drink two fingers and one other to drink one finger, etc. If a player has two cards matching that which is turned over, they can nominate six fingers to others. This turning cards over and nominating continues until all nine cards originally on the table have been turned over.
At this point, all those players with all the cards they had at the beginning of the game still left in their hand must 'ride the bus'. The dealer shuffles the cards and lays nine cards face down on the table in a diamond-like '1-2-3-2-1' formation. All the players who are 'riding the bus' play together and must turn the cards over from one side of the diamond to another without turning over a face card (Jack, Queen, King) or an ace. Only a card adjacent to one already turned over may be selected. If a face card or an ace is revealed, the cards are all re-covered from the rest of the pack, and the players must start riding the bus again. Three fingers must also be drank each time a face or an ace are revealed.
Only when they reach the other side of the diamond without revealing a face or an ace have the players succeeded in riding the bus. The cards are then shuffled and play begins again from the start.
