Monday's topic immediately brought this topic to mind.

The food we consume, and the care our elderly are given, are two jobs getting some of the lowest pay. I suppose being a line cook or a CNA doesn't require much education, so they figure fuck off, minimum wage for them. It's too bad though.

I hear so many horror stories of how the elderly are treated in nursing homes. I think most old people fear the notion of being put into a nursing home.

I don't understand why an employee would want to treat an old person like shit. Or not do their job; allowing them to lie in their own shit and piss. Yeah, I know, minimum wage gets minimum effort. But the same lazy fucks would scream foul if it was their grandparents getting shitty care.

I haven't had any old family members in a nursing home since I was a child, so I have no complaints of my own, but I bet some of you do.
