Working for "Deutsche Assistance" here, which actually provides Road Assistance in whole of europe including all of the countries which have a border to the middle sea as well, that's why we tell our customers to leave the car alone, stay safe on the sidewalk if available, or if there is such thing as a "Leitplanke" which is basically a barricade to keep cars on track, we tell them to get behind those, regardless if you want to take pictures of the damage, if the road is dangerous, call the friggin police to secure it for you, if you happen to get hurt in such an accident, you're at fault, at least partially
